President's Message

In a period marked by rapidly evolving global dynamics, the far-reaching impacts of the climate crisis, and digital transformation redefining competitiveness across industries, we, at AKPA Kimya, have completed another significant year in advancing our sustainability vision.

Our approach to sustainability reflects our responsibility toward the environment, society, our stakeholders, and future generations. Since our establishment, we have embraced quality in production, transparency in management, and sustainability as core principles guiding our strategic decisions. Today, as one of the world’s leading organic peroxide producers, we take pride in strengthening this commitment on a global scale.

In line with our vision to combat climate change, solar energy panels installed at our production facility in Muratlı, Tekirdağ enable us to meet a substantial portion of our energy needs from renewable sources. As part of our energy transition strategy, our ongoing wind energy investments and ISO 50001 Energy Management System practices aim to continuously improve operational energy efficiency while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Since 2022, we have been conducting carbon and water footprint assessments, and we now support these efforts with defined reduction targets and measurable performance indicators. Through this structured approach, we continue to manage our environmental impact in a more systematic, transparent, and sustainable manner.

As part of our sustainable growth strategy, we strengthened our presence in the North and South American markets by commissioning our fully equipped laboratory in South Carolina, USA. Together with our operations in Germany and Spain, we currently export to more than 75 countries, further reinforcing AKPA Kimya’s position in the global market.

We evaluate success not only through economic performance but also through the value we create for society. The Kemal Darcan Secondary School project, planned in the Muratlı district, represents an important step in our long-term social responsibility vision, supporting greater access to education, science, and the arts for future generations. This initiative reflects our commitment to contributing to sustainable social development.

Innovation and R&D activities remain key pillars of our sustainability strategy. Our environmentally friendly packaging materials development project focuses on delivering nature-friendly solutions while increasing the use of locally sourced raw materials, thereby contributing to the reduction of external dependency. At the same time, investments in SAP S/4HANA infrastructure have enabled us to make our data management smarter, more traceable, and more efficient, strengthening our digital transformation journey.
